Should you need to leave your Paloma gas geyser unused for a long period of time, such as at a holiday home or for a long term renovation- you should drain it and turn off all power. It is also important to drain and turn off your Paloma water heater if there is a risk of water freezing in the pipes, due to non-use.
Information on how to turn off your water heater, drain it and turn it back on is all found in your use and care manual. A Summary is found on the Paloma Gas SA Website.
Should you just be going away from your main home or even your holiday home for a short period of time, you can leave the geyser on and just turn the controller off. To turn the controller off, press the on/off button on the front panel until the display is blank.
Should you need further assistance, call your registered Paloma installer, or contact Paloma South Africa directly.
